\nBiography<\/span><\/strong><\/span>
\nWhen did you begin DJ’ing and what made you start?<\/strong><\/span>
\nI bought my first set of decks in the January sales of 2000. Id fallen in love with music and wanted to start collecting records. A few of my friends used to mix and it was something id dabbled in and wanted to take the next level.<\/span>
\nWhat would you say influenced you towards House music?<\/strong><\/span>
\nThe key factor was when I stumbled across Pirate radio in 1997. With some legendary stations shaping my musical taste. They included: Chicago 90.6, London Undergroun 89.4, Ice FM 92.7\/ 88.4, & Freek FM 101.8. These stations inspired my musical taste ever since.<\/span>
\nOf the many genres of House, which are your favourite?<\/strong><\/span>
\nFor me its all about the combined style of House & Garage, especially the early US stuff.<\/span>
\nWhich artists, producers and tracks stand out for you, both now and from the past?<\/strong><\/span>
\nIn the past the oldskool legends of Masters at Work, with anthems like “Gimme Groove”, “Dancin In Outer Space”, “Deep Inside” & countless more. The legendary Todd Edwards with “Love Will Make Things Better”, “Don’t Turn Your Back on Love”, & possibly my favourite record ever “Saved my Life”. From the UK, Tuff Jam, Booker T, & the Anthill mob spring to mind.<\/span>
\nCurrently there is a lot of good quality House music being made. Some of my favourite tracks from recent times are: Huxleys “Box Clever”, “The Game” from Lars Vegas, and Leftwing & Kody’s “Lost”\"listener-spoony\"<\/span>
\n Name some highlights or a profound moment in your time as a DJ<\/strong><\/span>
\nThe 1st I think was playing at Notting Hill Carnival in 2012 for “Back to 95” in front of a sea of people. The vibes were electric and while quite nerve wrecking it was something I thoroughly enjoyed.<\/span>
\nAnother stand out moment was playing at Roast Boxing Day 2011.<\/span>
\nIn front of another packed crowd im pleased to say my set went really well and I also ended up going back on for their lock in, it was a great night.<\/span>
\nHave you done any production? If not, is it something you aim to do?<\/strong><\/span>
\nCurrently i haven’t done any production yet, but it is definitely something I want to get into. Watch this space<\/span>
\nGoing on from that, what are your musical plans for the future?<\/strong><\/span>
\n To continue doing what I’m doing, pushing the sounds in my own style, also to launch a new Club Night in the Underground House & Garage style called “Juxx” alongside my brother Jack Swift.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
